the story
Fans of Almdudler – the most famous traditional non-alcoholic drink in Austria – and fans of traditional dresses are the perfect match for a special online contest called “Trachtenpärchenwahl”. They get part of the world of Almdudler and experience the brand philosophy in an entertaining and amusing way.
Singles and couples are invited to take part at the contest and to become the real “Jakob and Marianne” couple of Almdudler. The final couples win tickets for the Almdudler Trachtenpärchenball and the final winner couple– the “Almdudler Trachtenpärchen” – celebrate with their friends New Year`s Eve in a traditional cottage in the Alps.
The whole communication of the contest consists of word-of-mouth, guerilla activities like stickers, flyers and social media communication. Promotion teams dressed as Almdudler’s Jakob and Marianne seek out enthusiastic participants at the ten greatest Austrian traditional balls.
the final
On the 3rd of September 2009, the qualified pairs were invited to the final showdown in the Babenberger Passage in Vienna.
14 pairs - 3 challenges - 5 jury members
The finalists had to pass 3 challenges, dancing, singing and milking. The jury, Gerhard Schilling, Kristina Sprenger, Desireé Treichl-Stürgkh, Adi Weiss and Lena Hoschek, evaluated the performance of the 14 pairs. Nashi and Stinki also known as Marie-Louise and Klemens won the contest - they are the Almdudler Trachtenpärchen 2009.
