The Story
Fans of Almdudler – the most famous traditional non-alcoholic drink in Austria – and fans of traditional dresses are the perfect match for a special online contest called “Trachtenpärchenwahl 2008”. They get part of the world of Almdudler and experience the brand philosophy in an entertaining and amusing way.
Singles and couples are invited to take part at the contest and to become the real “Jakob and Marianne” couple of Almdudler. The ten final couples win an exciting Almdudler weekend in the Alps and the final winner couple– the “Trachtenpärchen 2008” – celebrate with their friends New Year`s Eve in a traditional cottage in the Alps.
The whole communication of the contest consists of word-of-mouth and guerilla activities like viral movies, stickers, flyers, posters and postings in target group specific online forums, e.g. myspace.com. Promotion teams dressed as Almdudler’s Jakob and Marianne seek out enthusiastic participants at the ten greatest Austrian traditional balls.
