SupportedBy T-Mobile

Customer: T-Mobile Austria GmbH, sponsors welcome! :)
Period of time: since 07/2009
Type of project: Support programme for young bands
www.supportedby.at

Monopol and ambuzzador started SupportedBy, a successful service supporting up-and-coming Austrian bands in a sustainable way. Newcomers want to get out of their parents garage for a real on-stage jam session. SupportedBy T-Mobile offers the chance to get on stage of the hottest locations in Austria as support for famous bands.

Get online
SupportedBy – a high flying concept:  Launched on July 20th, more than 120 bands have registered online at supportedby.at by the beginning of August.  SupportedBy T-Mobile connects young talents with hosts and venues, which are always searching local support bands. After appointing a gig, a registered band gets engaged as a support.  Afterwards SupportedBy T-Mobile is organizing the gig: prints flyers & posters, takes out ads in The Gap, Vice & TBA magazin and informs the music community via Twitter, Facebook and so on.  SupportedBy T-Mobile is not only responsible for all the communication in advance of the concert but also secures  a smooth flow behind and in front of the stage during the event.

Get out of your parents garage
The first two SupportedBy T-Mobile bands made their debut: The four guys from Traise at Palaverama Festival on August 7th in Gmünd and the Lonely Love Bucharests at Innsbruck’s Weekender Club supporting the grandiose Final Fantasy on August 10th. Both bands – Traise & Lonely Love Bucharest - confirm the ingenious idea behind the concept: Without SupportedBy T-Mobile they would not have the chance to be center stage at big venues that fast. Support bands can concentrate on their show, SupportedBy T-Mobile is doing the rest.

SupportedBy T-Mobile is planning around 20 gigs within a year all over Austria and is always looking for support bands. The service is sponsored by T-Mobile Austria, an active sponsor in the music community.

Find SupportedBy T-Mobile online, on Twitter, on Facebook & on MySpace with all reviews, photos & videos.
