the story

T-Mobile Austria breaks new grounds to communicate their products and services: No longer classical advertising campaigns, but projects out of the community which can only be fulfilled with T-Mobile products accompanied with a cross medial mix of advertising, pr & social media marketing. The 1st project “Philippes Projekt” started in May 2010. Philippe had the mission to walk through Austria to build awareness for AIDS – using the MyCommunity Smartphone of T-Mobile Austria.

The new project started on 10th of August 2010, called Katys Projekt. Hero of this project is US-Pop-Queen Katy Perry who is looking for 50 Austrian Teens for her new pop video with an audition & voting at facebook. To check the performance of the participants Katy is supported by the new T-Mobile data offer.

ambuzzador is responsible for the whole Social Media Campaign. That includes a facebook application at the T-Mobile Austria Fanpage for audition & voting & a voting-toolkit for the participant’s facebook profil.

the facts (state 23.8.2010, week 2/6)

  • More than 7.500 fans @ T-Mobile Austria Fanpage, almost 3.000 more than at project start, fan growth 200 – 300 fans a day.
  • 91 videos.
  • About 20.000 votes from more than 4.000 people.
  • 49 fan clubs founded to win Katy Perry Concert Tickets.
