T-Mobile invited 10 Austrian Bloggers for pre-testing the new T-Mobile G1 handset. The T-Mobile G1 is the first phone with the open source operating system Android starting on 30th January 2009 in Austria. The aim of the project was to awake early adopter’s awareness and speed up the innovation adoption for the G1 before the commercial launch. T-Mobile equipped Bloggers, interested in mobile communications, web 2.0 und new technologies with a T-Mobile G1 handset before launch. The Bloggers were testing the handset, the features and applications for several weeks und reporting their opinions and findings in their personal blogs. The website www.mobileblogger.at aggregates all their reports und presents the first user generated reports for the G1 in Austria.
